I always hurt my mums feelings?????

Ok so my mum is a very clever knitter. She loves to knit and its her hobby. Anyway she always gets annoyed that I dont appreciate what she makes me. I dont want to be selfish but my taste is different to hers. I prefer to sew my own things or buy them. Back in 2008 i asked her if she could knit these special gloves, my friends had all bought them from target and she wouldnt let me. Well time went on and she never made them. Until a few months ago. Well style has changed and mittens arent cool at school. I dont really like them but i said thankyou very much. Well today she got angry since she found them stashed in my desk. SHe said i was selfish and insited I go to my room, well here is where I am. I dont want to hurt her feelings I dont mean to. Any advice?
